The Himalayan Network Institute of Technology comes under the Masiha Institute of Technology. Recognized by NCVT, DGT & MSDE (Government of India). Placement Assistance Guaranteed on the basis of class 10 & ITI course marks, without appearing in competitive exam. 2 years course in ITI (Electrical & Fitter).NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling will provide Certificate for (class 11 & 12) Students.

has been set up under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) under Ministry of Labour, Government of India, Now Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India in Kishanganj district of Bihar State with an objective to ensure a steady flow of skilled personnel to the need of the society and to reduce unemployment amongst the educated youth by equipping them with the technical skills, education, knowledge and discipline.

AFFILIATION – Masiha Institute of Technology Pvt.ITI is affiliated to the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), Government of India New Delhi. Details can be seen at Government website www.dgt.gov.in and www.ncvtmis.gov.in at ITI search.

1. AIMS AND OBJECTIVE The aims and objects of the I.T.I are to create a learning environment for the trainees and provide opportunities for them to realize their complete potential. Emphasis is laid on development of individual aptitudes for learning and ability to adapt to the practical working. Our main objective is to provide a curriculum designed to develop a trainee so that he/she emerges as technically skilled citizen who can adjust him/her self in the modern industry as well as be a skilled and successful entrepreneur with minimum expenses in Salbari, Methibari Dist Darjeeling , West Bengal.

2. FACULTY/INSTRUCTORS The institute has highly-qualified, trained and dedicated faculty with ample experience. They are innovative well-versed in use of modern technology to enhance the teaching learning process. Faculties are trained from CSTARI, KOLKATA, TOOL ROOM TRAINING CENTER, GOVT.OF INDIA PATNA and from different CITS/ATIs.

3. Trade:- i. Electrician (Duration – 2 years) ii. Fitter (Duration – 2 years)

4. Eligibility for admission i. Candidates applying for admission should attain the age of 16 years as on 1st August of Every Academic Year.

ii. Candidates should be physically fit for the work involved in the trade for which they are to be trained. They have to produce fit certificate from the registered doctor not below the MBBS degree holder.

iii. Qualification:- Minimum Matric, Madhyamik (10th class passed) & Professional Degree/Diploma Holder (Board must be recognized/Affiliated)

iv. End of session every trainee must have to go Industrial Visit/Special Practical Training at TRTC, Patna MOU has been signed in this regard.

Note:- If the head of the institution not got satisfied with the trainee, training may be arranged in the holidays as remedial classes.

5. PTM (PARENTS TEACHER MEETING) Quarterly Basis:- As per norms Practical & Theory Classes along with over all development/skilling of the students/trainees position will be discussed. Parents are requested must participate in the PTM for better skilling/career of their wards.

6. Holidays:- Trainees are allowed to avail the same number of holidays as declared by the Government of West Bengal from time to time and or each academic year.

7. RULES, REGULATIONS AND DISCIPLINE
i. Each student may enjoy the full benefits of the facilities placed at his disposal but he has to abide by the rules and regulations of the Institute also. These rules are solely designed to safeguard the welfare of trainees and are liable to change/modify without any prior notice from time to time. The trainees are advised to keep themselves informed and aware about the day to day instructions and updating in the Institute. A plea of ignorance of any rules cannot be accepted as an excuse of breaking it. Trainees are expected to maintain the decorum and to pay the due respect to all faculty members. Every staff member has authority to point out the indiscipline created by the trainees.

ii. No student has any authority over the employees of the Institution.

iii. Use of mobile phones in the works and classroom is banned for trainees as well as for faculty and staff. CCTV has been installed for surveillance.

8. AFTER COMPLETION OF COURSE Every students/trainees must have to participate in 4 Months Training to familiar with latest skills in TOOL ROOM TRAINING CENTRE, GOVT.OF INDIA PATNA and 03 Months in L&T Company in Mumbai.

9. Options for employment are: In Railways, Electricity Board, Instructor in ITIs, Sudha Dairy, BHEL, SAIL,TATA, TISCO, L&T as Electrician Electrical Supervisor, Service Technician /Expert Rewinder /Lab Technician /Electrical Maintenance Foreman in Pvt.sector industries and Govt.sector.

10. Options for self-employment are: He can be a contractor of domestic wiring and industrial wiring and disco lighting in five star hotels. He shall be able to run his own electrical workshop. And take up oil filtration of transformer on lines. Setup own shop for rewinding of different types of AC/DC motors, generator & transformer, panel board wiring, busbar wiring and measuring instrument wiring. Welding and Fitting Shop/Engineering Company etc. Eligible for CTI/ITOT Course which are useful to make as instructor in ITI with handsome salary and this is the good job.in Gov.ITI & Pvt.ITI.

Eligible for Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and New Govt.Polytechnic Patliputra Patna and also equivalent dual certificate will be provided at intermediate level by B.S.E.B Patna, this is the extra advantage.

11. Training at Advanced Training Institutes, TRTC and L&T. Short term courses are conducted at Advanced Training Institutes located in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ludhiana, Banbaloru, Das Nagar Howrah and other cities of the country and functioning under Government of India wherein the candidates can specialize in various advanced industrial skills. More information in this regard can be obtained from the Principals of the MIT it is or in hr Training & Placement section of MIT.

12. Apprenticeship Training in Railways/Ordinance Factories/BHEL/BARC/ISRO/BEL/NALCO/HINDALCO/HALLucknow/HALBANGALORE/SAIL/TATA/TISCO/Docyard/L&T/Sudah Dairy and other Industries/Factories:

On completion of their trade courses under NCVT are eligible to be engaged as Apprentices in various establishments covered under the Apprentices Act, 1961..

At the end of the prescribed course of Apprenticeship Training, the apprentices have to appear for All India Trade Test of Apprentices conducted by the Government of India, New Delhi under the aegis of National Council for Vocational Training. Candidates passing this examination are awarded with National Apprenticeship Certificate. (NCA)which are very essential and use full to take job easily.

Trade Test:- A trainee has to undergo trade test examination conducted by NCVT/DGT/Govt.of India National trade Certificate:- On passing of the course, NTC will be provided. In case of loss of original NTC by the trainee, the duplicate can be requested by submitting Rs.100 along with the coy of F.I.R.
