📰 ASHA WELFARE ASSOCIATION SEEKS CLARITY ON REGULAR APPOINTMENT ORDERS 📅 7 October 2026 | Sikkim Smt. Hom Kumari Pradhan, President of the All Sikkim ASHA Welfare Association and a resident of Lower Tinek, 09 Chisopani GPU, under the 17-Khamdong–Singtam Constituency, has raised concerns regarding the implementation of the Government of Sikkim’s decision concerning the regularisation/order of ASHA workers. According to Smt. Pradhan, the Government of Sikkim has announced that a regular order has been issued for ASHA workers. However, she stated that the concerned department has not yet provided the order to the ASHA workers. She further expressed concern that the matter is reportedly pending with the Health Department, and appealed to the concerned authorities, including the Health Department Secretary, to clarify the status of the order and take necessary action. Speaking on behalf of ASHA workers, Smt. Hom Kumari Pradhan appealed to the Government of Sikkim to look into the matter and ensure that the concerns of ASHA workers are addressed at the earliest. “We, the ASHA workers of Sikkim, respectfully request the Government of Sikkim to look into this matter and take necessary steps for us,” she said.
